I am a student at the University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) in the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), Elementary Education program. It's a great program that leads to an elementary education credential that meets state and national standards. Classes are online, which allows me to complete the program from my home community. When I am finished, UAS will provide a recommendation to the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED) in support of my application for a teaching certification.
In fall of 2020, one of my required courses was ED S230 Introduction to Educational Technology. This class provided an overview of applied technology in K-12 education. Topics included the use of tool software, telecommunications, computer-assisted instruction, multimedia in the classroom and classroom management technology. One of the great things is that the concepts learned in class were applied in practice, and one result of that is this website -- my educational technology class tools and resources. |
